Who We Are
In early 1997, Pam O’Brien was more than ready to leave her 25+ year career in the insurance industry and try something creative. Her daughter, Kimberley Raiguel, was living in Salisbury, MD and was directing a live newscast at a local ABC affiliate station. Pam had heard of the new trend of pottery painting and in April paid a visit to a studio in Pennsylvania, the only studio in our area at that time. Six months later, Pam, with the help of husband Pat & daughter Kim, opened All Fired Up!, South Jersey’s Original Paint Your Own Pottery Studio, in charming, historic Haddonfield. After 10 years in business, All Fired Up! moved to their current location in Collingswood.
A family owned business, our only priority is to make your visit to our studio a pleasant and memorable time. We’ve been open since October 1997 and we’re still having fun. The best part of this business is the people who frequent our lives. We have made many new friends since we opened our doors. They become part of our family. Our staff is family too. Terry, a customer since we opened, joined us January 2005. Terry was promoted to Assistant Manager as of January 1st 2014. She loves her job and works so hard. She tells us she is never leaving! Mel started in the fall of 2012 and is the daughter of one of my oldest friends so I have known her since she was born. She has been a perfect fit and was promoted to Assistant Manager along with Terry as of January 1st 2014. and is now training other employees on kiln work. Miss Karen started with us in October 2011 and is our wonderful Art Teacher and is handling all of our Summer Camps; our Kids Artastic Workshops and our Adult Workshops too. Nina was recommended to us from Miss Karen and her son Logan (who works for us still from time to time when he is home from college). She quickly climbed the ranks and is an assistant manager with us. She is working her way through college which she just started this fall and we are so proud of her. She has also just recently developed and implemented Sensory Sundays here which she thought up after seeing a need for this in our community since she herself has a younger brother with Autism and knows that family’s who have kids with sensory issues are always looking for fun things they can do with their kids. Desiree came back to us in February of 2018 after being gone for about 13 years! She must have really missed us lol! I know we missed her. She is very talented and is willing to help anyone make sure their piece is just right! Melissa came to us in November of 2018 and is a joy! She took to our crazy studio instantly probably because she painted with us so much before she applied for the job here. We are welcoming our newest employee that is just joining us now. Her name is Lorena and I am sure she will blend in well with our crazy crew! So our family keeps growing – again thanks to you. We continue to be blessed as all of our employees are wonderful additions to All Fired Up!
But our best addition so far has been my youngest granddaughter and Kim’s daughter, Ryleigh Daisy. She has been coming to All Fired Up! since she was 6 months old and has probably painted at least half of the pieces we stock! She is one of our best painters already. She loves to paint and even today is still excited when her pieces come out of the kiln all shiny and pretty. She started 11th grade this fall and so is not spending much time at the studio anymore (which I am not happy about).
You’ll find all of our staff helpful and friendly and oh, so patient. We love our jobs and we love our customers!
As you can tell in the pictures, we are huge Philadelphia Union fans. My husband played soccer in college back in the 70’s on a soccer scholarship and we love having our own professional team to follow and love.
