Our Eric Carle Camp from this summer is especially well suited to the needs of the homeschool community. Miss Karen is planning to cover the art objectives with a language arts cross-curricular tie-in. Use it as a starting point for your own homeschool unit or ask Miss Karen for ideas to incorporate other subject areas.
Different art media will be explored each week using books by Eric Carle as a starting point. The projects & books covered are A House For Hermit Crab (clay), The Tiny Seed (glass fusing), The Angry Lady Bug (bisque), Brown Bear, Brown Bear (acrylic on fabric), and The Very Hungry Caterpillar (board art). Acrylic paints stain & are permanent. Smocks are provided, but please dress accordingly.
