All workshops are separate from the main studio so there is plenty of room for painters who are not in the workshops. Reservations are suggested.
Adult Artastic Workshops are receiving a makeover! We are now calling them Art Uncorked! We’re mixing up the nights and adding the (optional) alcohol! BYO your own snacks, drinks & fun. We’ll supply the pottery & the party!
We introduced our very first workshop last year and it was a complete sell out. Miss Karen, our fabulous Art Teacher will be teaching these classes. She comes to us from a background in the public school system with well over 10 years of experience teaching children and adults in a variety of settings. Miss Karen holds a BS in Art and Education and a MEd in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Art as well as permanent NJ certification as an Elementary Teacher and as a Teacher of Art. She is thrilled to be able to use her talents here at All Fired Up!
These workshops are designed to take the joys of the children’s workshops to our mature audience. Previous experience is not required to achieve excellent results. To register for these classes, please call us at 856-833-1330 and pay your $10.00 deposit to reserve your place at the workshop. Class sizes are limited so call as soon as possible to ensure that you can attend these workshops.
You can now book our workshops online.
Thursday, March 29th – 6:30pm-9pm
Ever been in the studio and seen our bubble painted samples, and wanted to do it, but thought it was just for kids? It’s not, by the way, but Karen has found a more refined way to use the technique to create beautiful flowers. Come learn the technique you’ve been dying to try, and create a beautiful bouquet on the bisque piece of your choice. As always, adult workshops are BYOB. Bring some munchies & some drinks, and make it a party! Cost varies according to the price of your piece. Reserve your spot with a non-refundable deposit of $10 (we will credit $5 of that towards your piece on the night of the event).
Who Can Resist Wax Resist?
Thursday, April 12th
No one, that’s who! Come in and learn this relaxing & meditative technique that has the look of a Bali batik when finished. Wax resist can be applied to almost any piece. (Prices will vary according to the piece chosen. $10 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit required at the time of the reservation, $5 of which will cover class fees & $5 of which will cover materials fees).
Simply Silk Screening
Thursday May 10th
Bring out your inner Andy Warhol with this fun technique! Silk-screening was originally a commercial process that the King of Pop Art appropriated for his own art. We have tons of pre-made silk screens for you to pick from & combine creatively including animals, flowers, & holidays. Silk-screening is a simple technique that can be done on a wide variety of pieces (you get to choose which piece you paint). (Prices will vary according to the piece chosen. $10 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit required at the time of the reservation, $5 of which will cover class fees & $5 of which will cover materials fees).
Open Clay Night
Thursday June 7th
Get your hands dirty! Tonight Karen will demonstrate hand-building techniques, including the coil, pinch pot, and slab methods. Also discussed will be proper joining techniques, as well as some basic information on the firing process & clay in art history. This is the perfect time to make that project you’ve been dying to make, or the one you saw here but missed. Past samples will be on display for inspiration, or you can make something totally original. No experience necessary! Please note that, because of the single-fire method we will be using, pieces made tonight will not be food-safe. ($25+tax, per person. $10 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit required at the time of the reservation, $5 of which will cover class fees & $5 of which will be credited to your bill the evening of the event).
